Hermansens=more girls to play with!

The Hermansen Family moved in across the street and down two houses from us. They have been in the ward a few years, but lived over in the other four streets of our ward. (our ward is just eight little streets, four behind the school, and four to the side of the school.......with a TON of young LDS families!!) Lolly has been on cloud nine having more girls her age to play with. Their Grandma was staying with them while their parents were on a cruise, and she did all their hair in braids. The three of them had to come over and show me, and of course I grab the camera. They were so willing to pose for me and show off their "hairdo's".

This is what I found when I opened the door. Camry, Lolly, and Halli

Paul Mitchell......eat your heart out!

That is soooome do! And a really nice Grandma for taking the time to make these girls feel cute!

My crazy Lolly! She shines when she feels pretty, and I love seeing it in her big blue eyes! The freckles are just a bonus!

Three 3yr olds + Treats + Trampowaleen = Triple the fun

It is SOOO much fun when Odie brings Leah and Emma over to play with Cara. Having a 4 1/2 year gap between Lolly and Cara was hard because Cara didn't have a playmate. Lolly was in kindergarten when Cara was born. That all changed when Odie found out she was expecting......and even better, she was due the day before me!! TOTAL FUN! (Odie delivered her girls three weeks early, and Cara was only a week early) I had never been pregnant with one of my sister, so I was really excited! Even better was when we both found out we were having girls, but she was having TWINS! Twice the punishment for being so bad when she was young. I tell you it is true, you will have kids just like you when you grow up. The curse your parents put on you really is alive in the form of your children. Anyway, they came to play today and all they wanted to do was "jump on the trampowaleen". It is such a blessing having them live right around the corner from us. I love this stage in their little lives. They want the simple things still. I love just sitting and listening to them talk and play together. I absolutely LOVE these girls!!

I always have cookies around for my cutie pies! Cara looks like such an okie! If she would stay in the clothes I put on her in the morning, maybe I would care more. But NO she has to be my child who changes her clothing a million times a day! I GIVE UP!!

They are so funny and do whatever the others are doing. The second I got out the camera they went into "silly-willy" mode.

Jumpie-jumpie! Their hair is great because it is so fine and the static loves it!

Happy New Year 2008!!!

Here is to another great year! I am not one to make resolutions, but am just gonna be more aware of what I am trying to achieve as far as goals for myself and for my family. I have learned that as I get older, I realize that I am wanting more for the "simple things" in life............heathy family, happy husband, good relationships with my family, great friends, and the blessings that living the gospel will bring me. Is is not the monetary things that I seek, even though they are sort of a catch 22. You can't live with all of them, but you also cannot live without the darn stuff. I find that the more I strive to attain the "simple things", the easier life is for me. As the kids get older and life gets more and more crazy, trying to remember what it is that really makes me happy seems further and further from my reach. I am focusing on making my life more "simple" this year. Comfort, Joy, and Peace will be my greatest reward if I can keep my goal in mind. Here is to 2008............
This picture is from last night at Kris's parents house. We have celebrated Christmas on New Years Eve with them for a long time. It was fun to see everyone, do lots of laughing and visiting, and just let the kids have a fun time playing with all their cousins.

Hope you enjoy the ride........

Yep! It is true! I FINALLY GOT MY BLOG UP AND RUNNING!! (only after months of nagging and a few failed tries at creating the dang thing) But, needless to say, it is up and going! I am just warning all of you, this is no ordinary blog. You forget who is the author. ME!! And if you are someone who really knows me, you KNOW that I am not your ordinary person. I am known to carry my 5th child (my camera) with me at ALL TIMES! So, with that being said, WELCOME to the daily happenings that I record with my 5th child. (that is a warning telling all of you that there will be LOTS and LOTS of pictures! They make the person that I am.) This will be a place of therapy for me, to unleash the good, bad, sad, happy, ugly, and downright funny that happens in my life. It is also a place to for my family to see what really happens (from a mothers view) in my families life. Hope you enjoy the ride as much as I am...........
